Ideal safety notice — Combi & System boilers, Aug 2022–Jan 2024
Ideal Heating has issued guidance covering certain Combi and System boilers installed between August 2022 and 7 January 2024. In rare cases, trapped air during a fault condition can lead to overheating. If your boiler falls in that installation window, it's worth booking a service and safety check — call us to arrange one.

Do you carry Ideal parts?
Common failure parts are stocked on the van generically; Ideal-specific parts are sourced same or next day where suppliers have them. Everything is quoted before fitting, and most repairs carry a 12-month parts warranty.
What does Ideal F1 or L2 mean?
F1 is low water pressure — check the gauge and top up to around 1.2–1.5 bar via the filling loop if you're comfortable doing so. L2 is an ignition lockout: one reset per the manual is fine, and in freezing weather check the condensate pipe first, since a frozen condensate commonly causes it. If either code returns, book a diagnosis.
How do I know if my boiler is affected by the Ideal safety notice?
